Carl’s role is Head of Projects and Engineering.
Carl has been with FluidIntel since 2011, and prior to this his current role, he has held several positions within the company including project manager, coordinator, and planner/site supervisor. This gave him the opportunity to work with two of the biggest mining companies in the world. He has worked in West Australia’s Pilbara region with Rio Tinto Iron Ore (RTIO) and BHP Billiton Iron Ore (BHPBIO), as well as in the coal regions of Queensland with BHP Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA).
Carl holds a degree in mechanical engineering and a Master’s Degree in Project Management. He has been working within project development and management for over 10 years, developing specialist skills in design (AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc), projects planning tools, and construction management. He also contributed to establishing a high standard of project management processes based on PMBOK framework.
Flexible to adjust to any role or new circumstance, Carl’s primary output has been the safe and timely project delivery with minimal disruption to client’s operations. His responsibilities also include reviewing mechanical and electrical designs, in his capacity as the engineering manager.
Off duty, Carl plays his bass guitar to the tunes of quality jazz and rock artists from the past and present.
In all scales of mining, a critical component for productivity from all heavy equipment from the go-line, down to the center of the pit, is ensuring fuel is readily available and accessible to these pieces of equipment when their tanks run low.
